Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Supervising the good management of educational, research, cultural, student, administrative, and financial affairs as well as construction and scientific service affairs. All internal and international communications of the university and the coordination of different units are held by the president responding to competent authorities.
  2. Observing the successful adaptation of enacted regulations introduced by the president of the university/board of trustees.
  3. Appointment and dismissal of members of the board of directors, deans of faculties, affiliated units and heads of departments
  4. Monitoring the good performance of the educational and research duties of the faculty members
  5. Evaluating and coordinating all the activities of the deputy offices
  6. Evaluating the annual activities and reporting it to the president of the university /board of trustees of the institute
  7. Establishing communication and coordination with the vice-chancellors of the university to exercise the relevant rules and regulations in the institute
  8. Establishing coordination with the university’s vice-chancellor for students and cultural affairs to plan and undertake extracurricular activities
  9. Monitoring the performance of non-academic staff and evaluating their activities and behavior with the help of managers
  10. Examining and estimating the financial, employment, equipment and research needs of the institution
  11. Participation in the relevant councils of the institute
  12. Investigating and dealing with the issues and problems of the employees of the institution and trying to solve their problems
  13. Supervising the preparation and delivery of internal directives and instructions
  14. Monitoring the proper allocation of the notified budget and how to spend it according to the regulations
  15. Determining the executive guidelines of the university in the form of scientific, educational and research policies
  16. Monitoring the good management of the university’s current activities following up the possible problems and infractions and referring them to the competent authorities.
  17. Responsibility for the official and financial affairs of the university within the limits of the regulations
  18. Enforcing enacted regulations, by-laws, and circulars issued by the Ministry of Science Research and Technology
  19. Preparing and proposing policies, goals and guidelines for presenting to the board of trustees
  20. Submitting proposals for the establishment, development, dissolution and merger of units to the university council
  21. Submitting proposals for scientific collaborations with other national and foreign educational or research institutions to the university council
  22. Supervising the disciplinary affairs of the university (academic faculty, students, employees) within the framework of rules and regulations
